This Enstrom was previously on the French register as F-GKAT. It is now owned by David Cummaford of Wilmslow, Cheshire, but kept down at Oaksey Park. The Entrom Shark originated in 1968 as the F28A, which was virtually identical to the 280C model which dates from 1975 and is one of a series Enstrom helicopters unique in having turbocharged piston engines. It is powered by a 228shp four-cylinder Lycoming which sounds glorious – very like a vintage radial. (400D, Sigma 28-300 & fluid-head tripod)
