Notes:

A moment to record on photo !! Observe the fireman underneath the aircraft, water blasting away a pool of fuel which had been dripping overnight from the aircraft, because of which, the fire safety officer was refusing to allow start up. Fortunately the matter was resolved as apparently it was only expansion of fuel in tanks (refuelled day before) due to our extreme heat and direct sun at this time of year. Taxied away too quickly for me - and missed the take off !!

Yes, I agree. Evidently this was a physics issue. (Molecule expansion) The Fire Safety Officer was using his judgment here and you can't knock the guy. They should either fuel up just prior to departure or back off on the volume if refueling a day before. (In light of the high Malta temps)
