"Fuel trails" American Airlines 777 declared an emergency just after takeoff and imediatly started dumping fuel as it left the airport.....it finished dumping over Jamaica Bay after about 20 minutes before returning to the airport without incident.

I believe American Airlines has the most incident photos on this website. I avoid flying them if I can.
When the American Airlines 777 first flew over me there was only 1 trail behind it and I found that to be unusual being that you don't get them that low and they usually appear in pairs. After watching it for about 30 seconds then 2 more trails appeared on either side of the aircraft. Then I realized that the aircraft must be dumping fuel and imediately tuned into the New York Depature frequency. They never stated what was wrong just that they had to declare an emergency and will have to return to JFK after dumping fuel.
