Slightly complicated history for this aircraft! It was originally allocated the USAF serial 51-17473, but was never operated by the USAF, being shipped to France under the MDAP program. There it served with the French Air Force with the serial 17473. Now in retirement in England, it has been painted in a special Canadian colour scheme which, of course, it never wore during its service life as it never served with the Canadian Forces.
