I don't like this livery but i guess its an improvement on the old one. my personal favourite liveries are KLM, Aer Lingus' green livery and American airlines. Lovely! March 21, 2004

Great Scoop getting the photo out before United could put it on their own website! Now about the new livery....While it is much better than the battleship grey scheme it replaces, I find it totally uninspired. Notice the font? It appears to be the same used from 40 years ago and before! Oh well. What was that slogan Braniff used to use?....'End of the Plain Plane' Not at UA! February 18, 2004

I saw this paint scheme 2 weeks ago on a new CRJ 200 for air wisconsin. I work for AIR WISCONSIN and 2 brand new CRJ's are sitting in Milwaukee Wisconsin at our maintaince hanger. The aircraft are fleet numbers 466 and 467. They are not going into schedule anytime soon, I believe sometime in late spring. Air Wisconsin took early delievery from bombardier because they got a better rate, and the aircraft are not needed until sometime after april, as I understand it. The new paint style was such a secret that the airplane was in Clarksburg WV. for painting which would normally be done in Montreal, Canada. Our pilots had to leave Clarksburg at night and fly it to Milwaukee in darkness where it was then put in our maintance hanger. Occasionally the aircraft may be outside since the hanger can only hold 6 CRJ's at one time and the mechanics will shuffle the aircraft outside as needed. Good luck getting the photos, just thought I would pass along information about the newsest CRJ's at Air Wisconsin including the first CRJ in the new paint scheme. February 16, 2004

Great pic Chris! The new livery surely looks good and better than the current c/s. I've noticed they've also painted white under the wings! no longer the standard grey metal aluminium color. Did they paint on top of the wings as well? I'm not sure if they can paint the flaps and spoilers etc. Great pic once again. Hopefully United will send some 777s downunder in the near future.
