It's not often you see a 747 being lifted by crane pass your office window! A fortnight after the accident, a floating crane lifts B-165 from the sea and transports the aircraft to the northern part of the airport, where it was transported on land.

The Mandarin 747-SP probably was used to bridge the weekly service interruption caused by this accident. I am sure it is not very assuring for the passenger on the SP if they know the pilots flying their airplane went through the same training process as the pilots of the 747 in trouble. Not their best time for China (Taiwan) Air Line.
The 747SP was owned by Mandarin airlines which China airlines owns..What a great pic it is...
Wow, the passengers in the 747SP must not feel too re-assured. LOL
