Prototype Concorde on display at Musée de l'air at Le Bourget. This iconic aircraft first took to the air on 02 Mar 1969 at Toulouse-Blagnac in the hands of André Turcat, Concorde’s chief test pilot, accompanied by Jacques Guignard, Henri Perrier and Michel Retif. It was also the first Concorde to go supersonic on 01 Oct 1969, holding Mach 1.05 for 9 min, again flown by Turcat.
