[1400px] This quite boring taxi shot turned out special to me, since this was the last time i've photographed an Itapemirim plane. The latest airline in Brazil have abruptly ceased their operations on December 17th, leaving passengers stranded and several staff unemployed. Sadly, we all saw it coming: this airline was badly managed from the beginning. A few months after the start of their operations, key people suddenly quit the company, flights delays and cancellations became frequent, customer service became almost non-existant, crewmembers complained about late or unpaid wages. The whole situation became unsustainable on December 17th, when operations were suspended after a ground handling company refused to handle Itapemirim flights. ANAC, our Brazilian aviation agency, revoked the airline's AOC later that day. Itapemirim ended up operating for less than 6 months... Another defunct airline in Brazil, a country which surely needs more competition in aviation. What a shame.
