Notes:

Preserved at Italian Air Force museum of Vigna di Valle. Designed by Eng. Giuseppe Gabrielli, the Fiat G.46 was the first all-metal trainer in service in the Italian Air Force, as well as the first aircraft built by the Turin-based company immediately after the war. The birth of this machine, in such a difficult period after the devastation of the war, is also due to the financing of Argentina, which acquired 70 of these aircraft. The first prototype, with an Alfa Romeo 115 bis engine, made its first flight on 25 June 1947, while the second prototype, with a De Havilland Gipsy Queen engine, built for export, flew in February 1948. The Italian Air Force received the first aircraft in 1949 and used them for second period training. Subsequent production series were significantly improved with the adoption of the Alfa Romeo 115 ter engine, with similar performance to the Gipsy Queen. The G.46 remained in service throughout the 1950s, but the sale of these aircraft to the aeroclubs began in 1958. This aircraft was also used by the Argentine Air Force, Syria and Austria.
