In 1937, the Fabrica Militar de Aviones of Argentina acquired the license to manufacture Focke Wulf FW-44J. Although at the beginning the construction of 500 units was projected, only a total number of 190 were built, flying in the Escuela de Aviación located at that time in El Palomar, as well as in the Naval Aviation for training.
