Notes:

Stbd side view of near-new RAAF 77 Squadron McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet A21-21 Cn 0470/AF21, parked at Canberra Airport YSCB during Nov 1988. This Hornet had recently fired its rotary gun, ‘smoking’ the barrel area on the nose. A21-21 is also armed with AIM-9L Sidewinder 'Short Range Air to Air Missiles' (SRAAMs) on wingtip launchers. This aircraft had not yet been retro-modified by fitment of the 'flow straightening fences' on the Leading Edge Extensions (LEXs).
