Scores killed in Hewa Bora DC-9 crash

Hewa Bora Airways (Kinshasa) suffered a serious crash this morning involving its DC-9-51 S9-DBH (msn 47731). The aircraft was departing the Congolese town of Goma when it crashed into a crowded residential area shortly after takeoff. Initial reports put the estimated casualty toll at 78 or more, and say the aircraft may have been overloaded.

Godspeed to all involved.

Wasn't Hewa Bora recently blacklisted by the EU? They might know something we don't. :(

My only hope is that they find out exacly what went wrong and fix it before this happens Again!!! and I also hope that there where survivors from this terrible crash.

PLEASE Guys...lets NOT play Monday Morning Quaterback here.
It would appear that the flight deck crew may well have survived plus others on the aircraft too thank God. Also that an undercarrage problem was suspected here or so local reports are saying right now anyway?.
