Air-Berlin (Berlin-Tegel) has publicly stated it has encountered unexpected problems associated with the integration of LTU International Airways (Dusseldorf). These additional costs will cause a “low double-digit million euro” charge nine months after the acquisition. The delays in integrating LTU has also delayed implementing capacity cuts at the end of the summer season. The carrier stated it carried over two million passengers in November, up more than 19% from the same period a year ago.
